Representative Hernandez hosts free legal clinic on immigration and other legal issues

20140322_105244State Representative Lisa Hernandez is hosting a Free Legal Advice Clinic on Saturday, June 21 from 10 am until 1 pm at her office, 3948 W. 26th Street, suite 112 to help residents address legal issues that include immigration, temporary drivers licenses and an assortment of other issues.

The clinic will provide professional attorneys who will be able to answer questions regarding the Temporary Visitors Drivers Licenses (TVDL), immigration applications and status, deferred action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and workers compensation & unpaid wages. Other issues that can be address also include legal issues criminal cases, traffic cases, bankruptcy, child custody, misdemeanor cases, and appeals in general.

“Many residents can’t afford to pay the costs of attorneys to get them some basic information or give them direction on how to handle legal issues involving many of the topics that will be addressed,” Hernandez said.

“This is an opportunity for residents to get good, sound legal guidance on how they may need to proceed to address their issues including immigration or to apply to obtain a temporary drivers license.”

The clinic is free and open to the public.
