The Candlewick Lake Association (CWL) is hosting its annual spring community-wide garage sale on Saturday, May 21, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.

CWL invites the public into their gated community to take part in this event.

The Candlewick Lake Association manages one of the region’s most popular fishing lakes which features bass, bluegill, walleye and northern pike among more than a dozen fish species.

The garage sale event gives individuals who normally do not have access to the lake area to view the property and obtain information about the community’s resources, which also feature a community recreation center, swimming pool, health club, several parks, golf course and restaurants.

“Garage sales are a great way not only to find items you need at a reasonable, lower cost, but also to meet new people inside Candlewick,” said Candlewick Recreation Committee member Bonnie Marron.

Residents of Candlewick who wish to participate in the annual Garage Sale may sign-up with the management association before Friday, May 13, 2016.

Association officials said they anticipate as many as 100 homes participating in the garage sale offering everything from used household items to fishing boats, vehicles and more. Maps of the community and which homes are hosting sales will be available.

Public rest rooms for visitors are available at the Recreation Center, Savannah Oaks Golf Course, and Friendship Park.

For more information, visit Candlewick’s official website at www.CandlewickLake.org. The Candlewick Lake Association is located at 13400 Hwy 76, Poplar Grove, IL 61065.

We look forward to seeing you at our sale!
